CLTS Staff

Bruce Covey, Director
Bruce Covey is Senior Director of Campus Life Technical Services, Liaison to the Emory University Bookstores, and Adjunct Lecturer in Poetry in the Emory College Creative Writing Program. He has been with Emory since 1994, beginning as a bookbuyer for and manager of several different campus bookstores. Before Emory he taught at the Atlanta College of Art, worked as a book editor for Peachtree Publishers and Chelsea House, managed a bookstore in New Haven, CT, and was a technical writer for IBM. He was educated at St. Lawrence and Yale Universities and is the author of five books of poetry.

Abby Horowitz, Program Coordinator
Abby helps plan and manage website projects for Campus Life. In addition to being part of CLTS, she also works with the Bookstore Liaison’s Office and Emory Poetry Council. Abby has a BA from Dartmouth and an MA from Emory (which is how this native of upstate New York ended up in Atlanta). When not at work, she writes stories and runs her own letterpress studio.

Richard Method, Departmental Support and Web Applications
Richard has been working for Emory University since 1997. He started doing desktop support for the School of Medicine, then did database programming for UTS, and is now providing department support and web applications development for Campus Life Technical Services.

Stephen Wimberly, Department Computing Coordinator
Stephen Wimberly has been employed at Emory University since June 2000. Stephen currently manages many of the Campus Life servers and how they relate to the desktop management and user experience like the software updates, the antivirus updates, etc. to provide a stable and secure desktop experience. Stephen was born locally at Emory University Hospital but also enjoys travel to far away destinations. Stephen has been as far east as Tampere, Finland and as far west as Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Eddie Parsons
Eddie has been at Emory since 1997. He began in the Emory Card office but quickly moved into Campus Life Technical Support.  Prior to coming to Emory he worked for The Walt Disney Company (yes, he is an honorary Mouseketeer!) and Williams-Sonoma (he is going to be the next Food Network TC Star!). He attended the University of Georgia and received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and completed all of his Master’s coursework and research in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.  However, due to circumstances beyond his control–as well as an opportunity to work for Disney– he never completed his thesis.  So today he works in information technology!  He admits it’s a strange road map, but he is happy with his job and loves the staff here at Campus Life.

Heather Dash, Communications Coordinator
Heather Dash has been with CLTS since  September 2007. Heather hails from Denver, Colorado via Seattle, Washington where she earned her BA in Political Science from the University of Washngton. She has been in Georgia since 1997. She received her MA in Political Science from Emory’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences in 2004, then went on to study Web Design and Development and became a Certified Internet Webamster (C.I.W.). When she is not at Emory she is running her own business and web development consulting firm, taking care of her twins, reading lots and lots of books, and feeding her shoe and accessory fetish!

Nick Weber, Department Computing Specialist
Nick has been with CLTS since March of 2008. He has worked for several software development companies in various tech support, application implementation and database administrator capacities, including over 15 years as a “road-warrior.” He has also worked as an independent consultant for various companies implementing networked client-server financial database application environments. He has a BS in Computer Science from Georgia Tech and has lived in Atlanta for 30 years
